About this site
This is my personal website
It is a collection of things that interest me. The site was first created in the summer of 2017 - something to do whilst incapacitated with a broken leg!
It is published using the "la-plume MICRO CMS" a small open source publishing system created by Patrick Taylor, from the UK. Alas, this is no longer available for public download.
The website is self hosted on an Ionos VPS, which I maintain and develop as necessary.
Use is made of the Frink programming language, especially in the Mathematics and Astronomy sections. Frink is an amazing language for doing scientific calculations accurately and correctly. The language was created and is continuously updated by Alan Eliason, from the USA.
About me
I took early retirement from a working life that has covered various roles, from postman, trainee accountant, BBC broadcast engineer and more recently: working in the British Civil Service. My qualifications are in Mathematics, Electronics and Computing.
My interests are varied, some of which are displayed on this website.
I am not a fan of social media, I prefer a personal website. However, having said that, here are my face book and twitter "feeds": facebook ,twitter
